About

That Fat Girl Media was created by the multi talented Dana R. Griffin. After many years of working a day job Dana started her artistic journey by studying  Improv at Second City, Scene Study at Piven Theater workshop, Digital Film Making Workshop with the New York film Academy, and Broadcasting at the Illinois Center for Broadcasting (Now the Illinois Media School).

Where did the name come from?

That Fat Girl came from when Dana started performing musical theater in 2009. People in the audience said “Who’s that fat girl who can really dance?”  “Who’s that fat girl? She is really funny.” “Who’s that fat girl? She really commands the stage.” So instead of being insulted Dana owned it and decided to name her company That Fat Girl Media.
